Free Rides to Georgetown Shops for Small Business Saturday

Start Your Holiday Shopping Locally on Nov.30.

The Georgetown Business Improvement District is sponsoring eCruiser to shuttle shoppers around the neighborhood for this year's Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting local merchants during the most active shopping weekend of the year.

To get out of the cold and hit all the best shops, flag down an eCruiser car or call (202) 271-1218 to schedule a pickup.

Georgetown is thriving with local, small shops, selling gift items that include clothing, books, jewelry and wine. And according to the Georgetown BID, 73 percent of stores in Georgetown are considered small businesses, and the area supports 11,000 jobs.

"Many Georgetown merchants will have special Small Business Saturday promotions," like a free porcelain mini vase if you spend $100 or more at Susan Calloway Fine arts, the Georgetown BID said.

Other stores having sales or promotions include Artists Proof Gallery, Bloomers, Hitched, The Phoenix, Sherman Pickey, and Urban Chic.
